The Modern Church

Bond

The flock refuses now to hear,
From the pulpit, Godly teaching.
They tell God's man to scratch the ear,
And to water down the preaching.

They went in debt, built a church;
Took their mind off God that day,
Told the preacher, "settle down"
If you expect, this debt to pay.

Now the flock has things their way:
They hear not, the things of old.
The preacher, now, has no say;
The truth, no longer, can be told.

Does Jesus Care?

Does Jesus care when my heart is pained
Too deeply for mirth or song,
As the burdens press, and the cares distress
And the way grows weary and long?

Refrain

Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares,
His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,
I know my Savior cares.

Does Jesus care when my way is dark
With a nameless dread and fear?
As the daylight fades into deep night shades,
Does He care enough to be near?

Refrain

Does Jesus care when I’ve tried and failed
To resist some temptation strong;
When for my deep grief there is no relief,
Though my tears flow all the night long?

Refrain

Does Jesus care when I’ve said “goodbye”
To the dearest on earth to me,
And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks,
Is it aught to Him? Does He see?

Refrain

This song is one of my favorite. I have had many chances to realize the truth that Jesus really cares! Even when it seems like others don't!

God Bless!

And Can it Be?

And can it be that I should gain
An interest in the Savior’s blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain—
For me, who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

’Tis mystery all: th’Immortal dies:
Who can explore His strange design?
In vain the firstborn seraph tries
To sound the depths of love divine.
’Tis mercy all! Let earth adore,
Let angel minds inquire no more.
’Tis mercy all! Let earth adore;
Let angel minds inquire no more.

He left His Father’s throne above
So free, so infinite His grace—
Emptied Himself of all but love,
And bled for Adam’s helpless race:
’Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For O my God, it found out me!
’Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For O my God, it found out me!

Long my imprisoned spirit lay,
Fast bound in sin and nature’s night;
Thine eye diffused a quickening ray—
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

Still the small inward voice I hear,
That whispers all my sins forgiven;
Still the atoning blood is near,
That quenched the wrath of hostile Heaven.
I feel the life His wounds impart;
I feel the Savior in my heart.
I feel the life His wounds impart;
I feel the Savior in my heart.

No condemnation now I dread;
Jesus, and all in Him, is mine;
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness divine,
Bold I approach th’eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.
Bold I approach th’eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!

Well, my afternoon today is kinda empty. Yes, I know there is lots I could be doing, but when it feels like its a hundred degrees, and you are dripping sweat, in your church clothes, you want as LITTLE movement as possible!! It looks as if we are in for yet another storm. One of the lovely assets of living in the great North! :P Not!

I just found out about a new photo site! Our Pastor is now selling his verse photos, great for decorating your house! Visit it HERE! We have a few of them, and they are beautiful! Such a treasure!

Well, I'm off to finish my list of things to do on the computer before my brother kicks me off! Just kidding, he would never do that, though I probably deserve it sometimes!

An Encouraging verse!

This is one of my absolute favorite verses! Right now I have been using it a lot, because a lot of people in our church are going through hard times.
I took the picture last summer, it is actually fencing, if you can't tell:P Maybe I shouldn't tell all my secrets! Right?
Another big blessing. Last week my brother odered a computer program, and we got it in the mail yesterdaty, well guess what came with it?? Photoshop!!!!!!!!! We had no clue, but I was/am soooo excited!
On another note, I probably won't be posting until Saturday night or Sunday. Tomorrow we are going to the funeral for my friends grandfather, then my parents will be going to a meeting that is an hour away. We will~LORDwilling~ be visiting another church near there, then we kids are going to my grandma's for the weekend.
Have a Wonderful week!
