Second Chances?


Did you know that Jesus forgave murderers?
And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him,
and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. 
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.
And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
 Luke 23:33-34
He did!

Did you know that Jesus forgave a thief?
And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying,
If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.
But the other answering rebuked him, saying,
Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds:
but this man hath done nothing amiss.
And he said unto Jesus,
 Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
 And Jesus said unto him,
Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
Luke 23:39-43

In Matthew 27:38 we see that these malefactors were being punished for thievery.  
Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.

To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

{The only way for the man to be with Jesus in heaven was for Jesus to forgive his sins…}

1 Corinthians 6:9-11
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?
Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
And such were some of you:
but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified
in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Did you realize that no matter what the sin… God forgives? God gives us another chance… every single little time.
When we ask for it, we are forgiven. There are no if’s. no but’s. no and’s.
